Orissa's
capital city, Bhubaneswar, is a interesting
mixture of ancient temples and modern buildings.
The city, at one time boasted of around
10,000 temples, of which a few hundreds
still survive dominated by the ancient Lingaraj
temple, Mukteswar temple and the Raja-Rani
temple. It is best known as the, 'city of
temples'. Bhubaneswar has rapidly moved
into the age of technology and modernisation
which is evident in the numerous new highrise
buildings, air-conditioned shopping complexes,
software development centers, IT training
institutes etc. |
